Who we are
Local execution, international standards
ECOVIS Vietnam Law delivers full-service legal advice with market-leading strengths in foreign direct investment, manufacturing, real estate and technology. Our lawyers and tax experts work in English, German and Vietnamese. Business advisory services are provided by a separate company, Orient Counsel Ltd.; both firms are members of ECOVIS International.
Clients range from German Mittelstand manufacturers and European corporates to Asian multinationals, state-owned enterprises, diplomatic missions and international organisations. We are referred to by international business and diplomatic institutions in Vietnam, are members of EuroCham Vietnam and the German Business Association (GBA) Vietnam, and are listed by AHK Vietnam as a legal advisory and German Desk contact.
Whatever the mandate, the working method is the same: give the client a decision they can act on, a filing that will be accepted, and a record their auditors and headquarters can follow.

Where we are strongest
Sectors where we have filed, negotiated and defended before
Depth beats breadth. These are the industries where our licensing and transaction experience is deepest.
Filed, negotiated and defended is meant literally: the individual mandates behind these sectors — a greenfield plant, an acquisition, a licensing project, a workforce reduction, an LkSG supply-chain review and a VIAC arbitration — are written up in our record of client mandates.
Manufacturing & EPE
Industrial park leases, EPE status, environmental and construction permits, factory operations.
FDI & market entry
Structure selection, IRC/ERC, conditional sectors, capital contribution and WTO commitments.
Corporate & M&A
Legal due diligence, share and asset deals, approvals, post-closing integration.
Technology & real estate
Data protection, licensing for digital services, land use rights and project transfers.

FAQ
What clients ask about the firm
Are you a Vietnamese-licensed law firm or a consultancy?
A Vietnamese law firm with licensed Vietnamese attorneys, able to represent clients before authorities and in dispute proceedings, operating as the ECOVIS International member firm for law in Vietnam.
Can we work entirely in German?
Yes. The German Desk is led by the Managing Partner; correspondence, memos and calls can be handled in German, with Vietnamese-language filings prepared by the same team.
Do you cover tax and accounting as well as law?
Legal advice is delivered by ECOVIS Vietnam Law; tax, accounting and audit are delivered with ECOVIS member firms in Vietnam so a single mandate can cover all four.
Do you work outside Ho Chi Minh City?
Yes. Most manufacturing mandates involve provincial industrial zones — Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong and others — and we deal with the relevant provincial authorities directly.
How do you charge?
Fixed fees for defined scopes such as company formation or a licence application; capped or hourly for transactions and disputes. The fee basis is agreed in writing before work starts.
