Attorney Vu Manh Quynh is the Managing Partner of ECOVIS Vietnam Law. He advises international investors, multinational companies and their boards on market entry, foreign direct investment, manufacturing and factory setup, M&A, tax and investment structuring, and regulatory compliance in Vietnam.

He is admitted to practice in Vietnam (Lawyer Practicing License No. 10.461/TP/LS-CCHN, issued by the Ministry of Justice on 20 February 2014; Lawyer ID Card No. 8844/LS, Vietnam Bar Federation) and works in English, German and Vietnamese.

As part of the ECOVIS International network — 16,000 professionals in more than 90 countries — he leads the firm’s German Desk and cross-border FDI practice.

Professional Experience

Mr. Vu Manh Quynh is the Founder and Managing Partner of ECOVIS Vietnam Law and Chairperson of the Board of Orient Counsel Ltd. (since March 2015), both member firms of ECOVIS International. He has more than 20 years of professional experience advising large Vietnamese enterprises, multinational corporations, European industrial groups and investment funds on corporate governance, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, manufacturing and industrial investment, restructuring and crisis management.

Before founding ECOVIS Vietnam Law, he spent five years as an Attorney-at-Law at Rödl & Partner (2010–2015), advising on foreign investment, international taxation and double tax avoidance, incorporation and corporate structuring. Earlier in his career, he served as a Legal Officer at Notary Office No. 4 under the Department of Justice of Ho Chi Minh City (2001–2002).

Board and Governance Advisory

He works directly with Chairmen, Boards of Directors, Supervisory Boards and C-level executives, providing independent advice on board effectiveness, governance architecture, shareholder relations, executive accountability and enterprise risk oversight. His work reflects an independent director’s mindset, combining fiduciary responsibility, regulatory discipline and long-term enterprise value protection. He is also a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in Vietnam.
